Dogs deserve better

So here's my rant for the day-no kill shelters and rescues using force, prong, choke and shock to train their dogs. What? These dogs were strays, neglected, given up, close to the top of the euth list only to be treated like that. They (most of them anyway) had a hard life, maybe lost trust in humans, never got to just be a dog and they are going to shock, choke, prong and force these dogs to be "obedient"? What? One of my clients had to give her puppy back to a no kill rescue and was severely chastised for not having the pup on a prong collar. And at a future adoption event I saw him yanked around by a foster mom with a prong collar. Sure enough. Broke my heart and his former owner too. This does not need to happen. ALL dogs can be trained without the use of force, prong, choke and shock. They absolute can and should. Or they are no better off than where they were before. Dogs deserve better, especially rescues, strays, neglected and abandoned dogs and pups. Come on No kill shelters and rescues! Wake up!
